Here's how I did with today's CVS shopping trip:
Dawn Dish Soap - 2 of these
Feminine Products - 2 of these
Dove Shampoo & Conditioner
Dove Deodorant - 2 of these
Dove Creme Oil Lotion
French's Mustard - 2 of these
Febreeze Fabric Spray
Febreeze Room Spray - 2 of these
Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats - 2 of these
Align Probiotic
Edy Ice Cream Dibs - 2 of these
I used $ in ECBs earned from last week's purchases, so the total spent after the coupons and ECBs I had was $59.11, and my receipt says I saved $46.39. I earned $20 back in ECBs, so it's just like I only spent $39.11 for all of the above items.
Sounds like an expensive week, I know. But if you figure that I purchased 19 items, many of them expensive ones, it really isn't that bad at all. And if you break down item vs. savings, it looks even better.
Take the Dove products for example: When you purchase $20 worth this week, you get $10 ECBs back. I purchased one shampoo, one conditioner, two deodorants, and one bottle of lotion. After my coupons and ECBs earned, my total cost for these five items is $5.25 or $1.05 each, which is not a bad deal for what I got here.
Look at the Febreeze products: When you purchase $10 worth this week, you get $5 ECBs back. I had no coupons, and purchased one fabric spray and two room sprays. After my $5 ECBs earned, my total cost for these three items was $2 each.
Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats on sale B1 at $4.39 G1 FREE. I had a coupon for $1.50 off two boxes, so I ended up with two boxes for only $2.89 or $1.44 each.
